Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Principal Threat Intelligence Hunter within Unit 42 Managed Threat Hunting in Seattle. You will perform proactive, intelligence‑led threat hunting across diverse environments and translate intelligence into actionable investigations and customer‑facing findings.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to operationalize intelligence, develop hunting workflows, and deliver high‑impact notifications.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in tactical threat hunting, cyber threat intelligence, DFIR, or advanced security operations.
• Experience translating threat intel into high‑fidelity hunting hypotheses and log‑based queries.
• Bonus: malware analysis, published security research, or experience in an MSSP/IR environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead proactive, intelligence‑led hunting across customer environments.
• Translate intelligence into hunting hypotheses, workflows, and customer‑facing findings.
• Collaborate with threat hunters, engineers, incident responders, and researchers to operationalize intelligence.
• Prepare clear reports and contribute to improvements in hunting, workflows, and automation.
