Job summary

Center for Discovery in Montverde, FL seeks a Lead Therapist to guide a multidisciplinary clinical team within our secure treatment model. You will supervise staff, coordinate treatment planning, and ensure high quality patient care in a residential/clinical setting.

You will lead groups, participate in admissions, maintain documentation, and support discharge planning, with on-call responsibilities. A Master’s or Doctorate and active license or eligibility are required, along with experience in

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in relevant field is required.
• Active state license or license eligible is required.
• Two or more years of experience in the mental health field are required.
• Experience with eating disorders recommended.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates weekly treatment team meetings to ensure consistent and effective communication and proper oversight of patient progress.
• Trains all new clinical employees within their scope and coordinates training with clinical team members.
• Provides supervision and mentorship to clinical staff and ensures documentation is current.
• Assesses patients for suicidality and danger to self or others and maintains a patient caseload.
• Leads or co-leads 3-4 process groups weekly and oversees other groups.
• Assists in admissions and ensures expeditious access to care; completes timely clinical documentation.
• Completes required therapy sessions weekly (RTC: 2 ind + 1 family; PHP: 1 ind + 1 family; IOP: 1 therapeutic session).
• Facilitates discharge planning and patient transfers to higher level of care.
• Oversees on-call coverage and communications with on-call administrator.
