Job summary

Caron of Florida Inc. in Delray Beach seeks an experienced Behavioral Health Therapist to serve as the clinical lead on the treatment unit and supervise interns and designated staff.

The role includes directing daily multidisciplinary meetings, crisis interventions, and developing evidence-based practices to reach unit and individual goals. The position requires a Master’s in human services, CAC certification, and at least five years in behavioral health with leadership and group therapy

• Leadership experience required (supervision of interns, training staff).
• Specialty training in MI, DBT, CBT, trauma may be preferred.

• Provide leadership during crises and promote evidence-based clinical practices.
• Maintain a reduced but active clinical caseload while meeting Therapist duties.
• Present educational workshops and serve as content expert in clinical specialty areas.

Job description

• Facilitate and manage all duties and responsibilities of a Behavioral Health Therapist.
• Serve as the clinical lead on the treatment unit and act as the designated clinical resource in consultation with supervisor.
• Facilitate daily multi-disciplinary treatment team meetings, daily tracking sheets, case reviews, conflict resolution, family conferences and clinical consultation to ensure achievement of unit and individual goals.
• Facilitate weekly group supervision. This may be in combination with a supervisor.
• Provide individual clinical supervision and professional development support to interns and designated clinical staff.
• Take an active role in the completion of evaluations of job performance through consultation with supervisor and provide feedback to behavioral health therapists.
• Administrative oversight of the unit including patient assignments, assuring appropriate group coverage, monthly lecture schedule, management of off campus meetings and activities.
• Provide leadership and consultation in crisis situations and assist staff in developing effective clinical interventions.
• Maintain a reduced, but active, clinical caseload where all responsibilities of a Behavioral Health Therapist will be met.
• Support staff for competency development through coaching, role modeling, observation, and feedback regarding clinical skills and ethical practice.
• Assist in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, clinical initiatives, and evidence-based practices.
• Regularly presents, internally and externally, educational workshops, facilitate groups and serves as content expert in designated clinical specialty areas.
• Completes necessary utilization of review information.

• Must be able to work extended hours and travel as needed

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's degree in human services is required.
• Licensure is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years working in the behavioral health field required
• Specialty training preferred (MI, DBT, Art Therapy, MBSR, CPT, CBT, and Trauma)
• CAC required.
• Experience in lifespan developmental issues for their respective populations
• 5 years of experience in facilitating group therapy required
• If in recovery, 2 years of uninterrupted sobriety preferred
• Demonstrated leadership experience required. (Supervision of interns, co-facilitate group supervision, help train new staff, reach out to potential admissions, managing tracking sheet, i.e.)
