Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries' Newport News Shipbuilding division seeks an Engineer Lead Test 3 to synthesize customer requirements into system test solutions, develop test plans, and coordinate testing across multiple teams.

The ELT3 directs module testing, ensures procedures are signed off for certifications, reviews test data, and initiates corrective actions, with relocation assistance and travel as needed. Base salary ranges from $98,000 to $123,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Must have LTE/SSO/Watch Certification and 4 years of relevant professional/exempt experience.
• Nice-to-have: VCS Class NPE Lead Test Engineer Qualification (LTE).
• Nice-to-have: Experience as Assistant CTE on Submarine Non-Propulsion Electronics (NPE).
• Nice-to-have: Ability to direct, manage and certify all required industrial testing and coordinate related certifications.

Responsibilities

• Synthesizes customer contractual needs into system test solutions and develops comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules.
• Directs overall testing and provides liaison with Waterfront Construction Management, Trades, Ship's Force, vendors and NAVSEA activities; ensures test procedures are issued and signed off.
