Job summary

Leidos in Gaithersburg, MD, seeks a Test Engineer to advance the L-CAP platform within the Air Traffic Business Area. This hybrid role blends on‑site collaboration with remote work as needed for a commutable drive from Gaithersburg, MD, Eagan, MN or Egg Harbor Township, NJ.

You will design automation frameworks, build reusable test libraries, and drive CI/CD integration, performance, and API testing across distributed services in a SAFe agile setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master’s degree with relevant field and experience.
• 8+ years for Bachelor’s or 6+ years for Master’s in related roles.
• Strong test automation, API and performance testing experience.
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines like Jenkins, GitLab CI or GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of distributed service testing and agile/SAFe testing.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement test automation frameworks for microservices-based platform components.
• Build and maintain reusable test libraries and utilities for the L-CAP test infrastructure.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines ensuring continuous quality gates.
• Conduct performance testing to validate system behavior under load and stress conditions.
• Execute integration testing across platform services, APIs, and external system interfaces.
• Develop test plans and strategies aligned with sprint and PI objectives.
• Mentor junior test engineers on automation practices and testing methodologies.
