Job summary

Devoted Health is hiring a clinically focused physician to practice in Care OnDemand’s virtual urgent care and observation units. You will deliver direct patient care remotely, supervise advanced practice providers, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, home-based care.

You will lead rounds, mentor clinicians, and help scale our value-based care model nationwide, with emphasis on patient-centered outcomes and care transitions.

Qualifications

• Forward-thinking, innovative, clinically outstanding board-certified physician with at least 3 years post-residency experience in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine/Urgent Care.
• Telehealth experience preferred
• Multi-state licensure preferred or willingness to obtain additional licensure
• Adept at learning and utilizing electronic health data and medical record systems, including video, telephonic and AI platforms
• Eagerness to advocate for care equity and accessibility for vulnerable patient populations.
• Comfortable with being uncomfortable as we build the care model of the future

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct care in our virtual urgent care and observation unit while providing supervision to a team of advance practice providers.
• Fiercely promote our model of caring for patients like family and safeguarding our collaborative team based culture.
• Deliver exceptional care to patients with urgent care concerns across geographies via video telehealth visits and a multidisciplinary team.
• Manage patients in our virtual observation unit with acute-on-chronic exacerbations, adhering to evidence-based practice and incorporating what matters to patients and families.
• Connect patients with primary care and bridge to complex care programs such as behavioral health and chronic disease management.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus, though not required.
