Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Lead Technology Systems Engineer to deliver campus cabling, AV, and electronic security system designs. The role involves working with the Federal Programs Team across multiple U.S. offices, from concept through construction administration.

You will lead design efforts, ensure quality, and coordinate with other designers while meeting project schedules and budgets. A Bachelors in Electrical Engineering and a current RCDD certification are required, with U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience designing structured cabling systems, AV, and electronic security.
• BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is required for client requirements.
• Proficient designing with Autodesk Revit and related tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with clients and teams.
• Create and perform quality control of construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a design resource for campus outside plant, cabling, AV, and security systems.
• Collaborate with design team members from concept through construction administration.

Your Impact

• Serve as a resource for the delivery of campus outside plant, structured cabling systems, audio/visual and electronic security systems design
• Work with other design team members to deliver projects from concept design through construction administration.
• Responsible for oversight of the entire design process for select projects, and/or assisting as a technical expert on specialized project components.
• While working on several concurrent projects, maintaining proper quality standards on all deliverables and adhering to project schedules and budgets.

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience designing structured cabling systems infrastructure, audio visual, and electronic security systems.
• Current BICSI Registered Communications Distribution (RCDD) certification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Due to client requirements, U.S. citizenship is required.
• Proficient designing using Autodesk Revit (starting, linking and setting up models, navigating views, 3D plans, trouble shooting, etc.).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on the ability to organize and present design information to clients.
• Create and perform quality control of construction documents (drawings and specifications).
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active US Government security clearance.

Compensation

Expected Salary (all locations): $119,600 - $174,400

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.

Expected Salary (Colorado only): $119,600 - $163,700
