Qualifications:

The Supplier Quality Development (SQD) Contractor will be responsible for coordinating the supplier qualification process to meet aerospace industry standards. This role involves serving as the primary liaison for the site quality, manufacturing technology, supply chain, and contract manufacturing teams to ensure successful supplier qualifications. The SQD contractor will report to the Global Quality Manager for Vespel and will be based at the Valley View, OH facility. Note: This job offers paid holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the supplier qualification plan in collaboration with relevant teams to achieve project objectives.
• Oversee the supplier qualification processes, ensuring they are completed on time and meet all criteria.
• Support manufacturing and supply chain teams in resolving qualification issues, leveraging industry expertise.
• Document and improve qualification processes to align with industry best practices and standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate supplier quality requirements and expectations.
• Develop training materials to onboard new suppliers, ensuring they meet certification and approval requirements.
• Assist with APQP and PPAP development during supplier qualification to ensure proper flow-down of requirements.
• Monitor process compliance and qualification performance to identify improvements and risks.
• Support the First Article Inspection (FAI) process with suppliers and customers.

Requirements:

• Associate degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, Quality Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required).
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in supplier quality development within the aerospace industry.
• Manufacturing/Operations experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with quality systems such as AS9100, ISO 9001, AS13100, or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Strong leadership skills.
