Reconn Utility Services in Westerville, OH, is hiring for a daytime, full-time locator role requiring up to 50% travel in-state. Overtime as needed. Starting pay $25–$35 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must have 3-5 years of direct experience locating gas facilities.
• Willing to travel up to 50% of the time, primarily in-state.
• Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Pass drug screening; safety-sensitive position.
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and work in confined spaces.
• Strong judgment, problem-solving and time management skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel; familiar with Utility Prints.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Excellent customer service and professional interactions.

Responsibilities

• Travel to assigned work sites to locate and mark underground facilities.
• Investigate damages and complete accurate/timely reports.
• Audit the work of technicians to ensure accuracy of marks and customer satisfaction.
• Assist in compiling data for client deliverables.
• Provide daily reports on area.
• Assist in assigning workloads to field technicians.
• Provide training to technicians as needed.
• Ensure technicians have adequate inventories/supplies; monitor PPE.
• Report unsafe conditions and take actions to prevent injuries.
• Maintain professional interactions with customers and property owners.
• Interact with teammates respectfully and professionally.

The starting pay for this position is $25-$35 depending upon experience.

Responsibilities

• Travel to assigned work sites to perform locates, and identify and mark underground facilities
• Investigate damages & complete accurate/timely reports
• Audit the work of technicians identified by the supervisor or manager to ensure accuracy of the marks and continued customer satisfaction
• Assist in compiling data or information for client specific deliverables
• Provide daily reports on area
• Assist in assigning workloads to field technicians
• Provide assistance and training to technicians as needed
• Ensure technicians have adequate inventories/supplies in the absence of the supervisor
• Properly monitor the care and use of all personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Report any unsafe conditions and take actions to prevent personal injuries
• Maintain professional and positive interactions with customers and property owners
• Interact with teammates respectfully and professionally

What We Need From You (Our Requirements)

• Must have 3-5 years of direct experience locating gas facilities
• Must be willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time, depending on project requirements and workload; travel will be primarily in-state within the project footprint
• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficient with technology
• Must be available to work overtime including nights and weekends (as needed)
• Able to pass a drug screen (this is a safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
• Able to work in a confined space; walk, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Able to distinguish between colors used to identify wiring and mark underground utilities.
• Ability to demonstrate good judgment and problem-solving skills
• Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, & Utility Prints
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
