Job summary

Kratos Unmanned Aerial Systems (KUAS), a division of Kratos Defense, seeks a Technical Writer to create and edit manuals, training materials, and related documents. You will work with engineers and technicians to produce accurate, compliant content and support verification/validation activities.

Positions span levels I–IV, with increasing responsibility including leadership, mentoring, and bid/ proposal support. A U.S. security clearance is required or pursued as needed.

Responsibilities

• Generates documentation per contractual data requirements for projects affecting multiple systems.
• Manages effort and time within the budget and schedule provided.
• Reports project status periodically.
• Plans projects and executes to the plan with attention to detail.
• Interprets data into written procedures and descriptions.
• Prepares formal, controlled technical documentation.
• Presents documentation review material for technical meetings.
• Supports quotes, proposals and sales efforts.
• Coordinates verification and validation activities for documentation.
• Develops standardized templates and formats for docs and training.
