Job summary

Motion Recruitment seeks a Lead Technical Project Manager to oversee technology infrastructure migrations for office relocations, renovations, and new builds in Manhattan. You will drive planning, partner with Real Estate, Facilities, and engineering teams, and manage scope, schedules, and risks to ensure successful office openings.

Qualifications

  • Experience using ServiceNow PPM/SPM for intake and planning.
  • Proficiency with MS Project and Visio for scheduling and diagrams.
  • Experience coordinating end-user computing deployments for offices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and execution of technology infrastructure migrations for relocations and new constructions.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans aligned with construction milestones and deployment timelines.
  • Coordinate readiness activities across network, telecom, AV, and end-user computing.
  • Partner with Real Estate, Facilities, Infrastructure, and stakeholders for seamless transitions.
  • Manage scope, schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, and change requests.
  • Identify risks and mitigate to minimize business disruption during office moves.
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings and executive-level status reporting.
  • Utilize ServiceNow SPM for demand planning and portfolio reporting.
  • Ensure delivery of workplace technology solutions enabling office openings.

Lead Technical Project Manager / Infrastructure / On-site / Manhattan, NY

One of the leading providers of best-in-class information technology services and solutions is looking for a Lead Technical Project Manager to join their Manhattan office!

The Lead Technical Project Manager is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of technology infrastructure migrations and workplace technology deployments supporting office build-outs, relocations, and new construction initiatives. This role oversees projects from initiation through implementation, ensuring seamless delivery of workplace technology infrastructure that enables successful office openings, moves, and renovations.

Contract Duration: One year contract with the opportunity for extension or conversion
Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of technical project management experience leading technology infrastructure migrations, office relocations, workplace technology deployments, or new construction projects within a large enterprise environment.
  • Experience coordinating end-user computing deployments for new office builds, renovations, relocations, and technology refreshes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience using ServiceNow PPM/SPM and Demand Management to support project intake, planning, prioritization, tracking, and reporting.
  • Experience supporting network rack and stack, structured cabling, infrastructure testing, commissioning, and go-live activities.
  • Experience managing demand intake, prioritization, and resource planning within ServiceNow.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project, Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience partnering with engineering and design teams during technology design reviews and implementation, with the ability to manage project execution, coordination, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools and capabilities to improve project delivery, reporting, planning, documentation, or operational workflows.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent infrastructure projects with aggressive construction and occupancy timelines.
What You Will Be Doing
Daily Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning and execution of technology infrastructure migrations supporting office relocations, renovations, and new construction projects.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans aligned with construction milestones, occupancy schedules, and technology deployment timelines.
  • Coordinate technology readiness activities including network infrastructure, telecom, AV, end-user computing, wireless, and workplace technology implementations.
  • Partner closely with Corporate Real Estate, Facilities, Infrastructure Engineering, Workplace Technology, vendors, and Line of Business stakeholders to ensure seamless office transitions.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, and change requests throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify potential project risks related to construction schedules, infrastructure readiness, and office migration activities, implementing mitigation strategies to minimize business disruption.
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings to drive alignment across technology teams, construction partners, and business stakeholders.
  • Track project milestones, resource utilization, and key performance metrics while providing regular executive-level status reporting.
  • Utilize ServiceNow SPM to manage project intake, demand planning, portfolio reporting, and project execution.
  • Ensure successful delivery of workplace technology solutions that enable business readiness for office openings and employee relocations.
