Job summary

RED Group in Dalton, GA is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager – Automation Systems to lead automation and controls for a major hyperscale data center development. You will coordinate between Automation, Design, Construction, Commissioning, and Operations to ensure timely delivery and reliable operation.

The role requires a strong background in BMS/EPMS/SCADA, PLCs, and industrial automation, with hands-on leadership in commissioning, FAT, and startup activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years managing automation or mission-critical infrastructure projects.
• Experience supporting hyperscale data center developments preferred.
• Familiarity with PLC/SCADA and building automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation and controls execution for large-scale data center projects.
• Coordinate pre-construction planning and technical coordination.
• Manage scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and communications.
• Oversee BMS/EPMS/SCADA integration and commissioning support.
• Drive FAT, software validation, startup activities, and turnover readiness.
