Job summary

Golden Touch is seeking a Technical Design Manager for Walmart Kids Apparel in New York. You will oversee the Technical Design team, ensure fit, quality, and production readiness across multiple categories, and partner with Design, Product Development, Production, and overseas factories.

The ideal candidate has Walmart private label experience, strong leadership skills, and a track record of delivering high-volume, high-quality products within strict calendars.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Technical Design or related field.
• 5+ years of Technical Design experience in children's apparel.
• 1+ years of leadership supervising Technical Designers (preferred).
• Private label and Walmart experience (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, grading, patternmaking, fit, fabrics, and manufacturing.
• Experience with overseas factories.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Technical Designers across Walmart Kids categories.
• Allocate workload, prioritize seasonal deliverables, and ensure deadlines.
• Establish technical design standards and process improvements.
• Coach team through fit challenges and construction issues.
• Conduct performance evaluations and support development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners.
