Job summary

Applied Systems seeks a Lead Technical Consultant to join the Applied Solutions team. You will set architecture, integration, and cloud delivery standards while guiding clients through complex digital transformations.

The role involves advising executives, leading enterprise programs, and shaping technical strategy with hyperscalers like GCP/AWS/Azure. You will mentor senior consultants, collaborate across Professional Services, Product, and Engineering, and contribute to strategic pre-sales

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in MIS/CS/Business or equivalent work experience (8+ years, or 6+ years with an associate degree).
• Proven cross-functional leadership and client/project management experience.
• Hands-on experience with scalable, resilient application architecture and cloud delivery.

Responsibilities

• Advise client CIOs/CTOs and align technical roadmap with enterprise transformations.
• Act as executive technical authority on large enterprise engagements and lead multi-system escalations.
• Establish and evolve architecture, integration, and cloud delivery standards and best-practice frameworks.
• Lead cross-functional programs with Professional Services, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to create repeatable blueprints.
• Partner with Sales on pursuit strategies, scoping, and value-engineering for complex deals.

We’re looking for a Lead Technical Consultant to join our Applied Solutions team and serve as a technical strategic advisor, setting architecture, integration, and cloud delivery standards while guiding clients through their most ambitious and complex digital transformations.

What You’ll Do

• Advise client CIOs, CTOs, and executive leaders, aligning Applied's technical roadmap with their enterprise transformations
• Act as the executive technical authority on our largest, most complex enterprise engagements and lighthouse implementations, and lead resolution of systemic multi-system escalations
• Establish and evolve architecture, integration, and cloud delivery standards and best-practice frameworks across Applied's software ecosystem
• Lead cross-functional programs with Professional Services, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success, turning lessons from the field into repeatable blueprints and product enhancements
• Partner with Sales leadership on pursuit strategies, scoping frameworks, and value-engineering for high-value, first-of-their-kind deals
• Shape technical strategy with hyperscalers such as Google Cloud Platform and integration partners, and mentor senior consultants and architects

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of business/technical solutions implementation, including cloud architecture design, evaluation, and custom solutions development
• Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent work experience (8+ years, or 6+ years with an associate degree)
• Proven cross-functional leadership, defining technical standards, and contributing to practice strategy, plus 3+ years of client and/or project management experience
• Hands-on experience with scalable, resilient application architecture and DevOps practices (2+ years), cloud platforms and/or APIs (2+ years), containers (1+ year), and REST/SOAP APIs, SQL, Java, and JavaScript, across AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Ability to lead executive-facing workshops, design as-is and to-be process flows and architecture diagrams, support pre-sales scoping, and explain technical topics clearly to technical and non-technical audiences

Bonus points if you also have:

• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Professional Cloud Architect certification
• Salesforce admin or technical experience (including APEX)
• 1+ years of experience in the insurance industry

Our targeted starting base salary in the United States for this position considers a variety of factors, including depth and breadth of experience, skills and role scope. Depending on the role, team members may also be eligible for additional compensation plans (bonus and commission).
