Job summary

CFS in Minneapolis is seeking a senior technical accounting professional with deep US GAAP and SEC reporting experience. This hybrid role offers visibility to leadership, interaction with auditors, and ownership of complex accounting matters and new standards adoption.

You will support SEC filings, evaluate complex transactions, and partner with finance, treasury, and operations to drive reporting quality and policy development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA strongly preferred.
• 8+ years of accounting or financial reporting experience.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP and technical accounting guidance.
• Experience with SEC reporting and applying guidance to complex transactions.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate complex and non-routine transactions for proper GAAP treatment.
• Support SEC filings through technical analysis and documentation.
• Research and implement new accounting standards and regulatory changes.
• Partner cross-functionally to assess financial impact of business initiatives.
• Communicate accounting conclusions and recommendations to leadership and auditors.

Location: Downtown Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid: Tues/Wed/Thurs onsite)

Compensation: $125,000-$160,000 + 15% Bonus
