Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies invites a Lead Teacher to join our team to mentor teachers, implement our curriculum, and nurture a safe, engaging classroom where children grow and explore. You will partner with families and work with center staff to drive enrollment and accreditation goals.

With requirements including CDA or NAEYC candidacy, a Bachelor’s in ECE, and state trainer preferences, you’ll be part of a nationwide network that supports child development and community impact in classrooms

Qualifications

  • Outstanding customer service, strong organizational skills, and ability to multi-task.
  • Possess active CDA credential or meet NAEYC candidacy requirements.
  • Approved state trainer preferred.
  • 2-3 years Early Childhood Education experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
  • Meet state-specific qualifications or be willing to obtain.
  • CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and work indoors or outdoors.
  • Read, write, and speak English to communicate with children and parents.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback.
  • Implement KinderCare's curriculum in a way consistent with each child’s needs.
  • Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
  • Partner and connect with parents to support children’s education.
  • Support center success; collaborate with staff and leadership on enrollment, accreditation and engagement.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, licensing authorities, community contacts and partners.

When you join our team as a Lead Teacher you will:

  • Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and handle multiple situations effectively
  • Possess active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or meet NAEYC candidacy requirements
  • Approved state trainer (preferred)
  • 2-3 years Early Childhood Education Experience (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
  • Meet state specific qualifications for the role or willingness to obtain
  • CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
  • Use a computer, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors
  • Be able to make physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children
  • Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English

Range of pay $16.85 - $21.60 Hourly

In the state of Minnesota, we currently provide an additional $3.00 per hour premium on all classroom hours worked in addition to the range of pay listed. This premium is funded through the Minnesota Great Start Grant Compensation Support Program.
