Job summary

The Gardner School of Nashville is seeking a Lead Teacher to guide a classroom with creativity, care, and excellence. You will mentor assistant teachers, modeling core values and building strong relationships with families and children.

You will plan developmentally appropriate lessons, maintain a safe and joyful classroom, and ensure compliance with standards. A CDA or associate’s degree is required, with a bachelor's preferred, plus CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• Education/Certification: CDA or Associate's degree (required); Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related degree (preferred).
• Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Experience: 2+ years of early childhood education experience (lead or co-lead preferred).
• Knowledge, Skills and Physical Requirements: Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Regular attendance. Proficiency with general administrative tasks. Active engagement in a classroom setting including lifting up to ~60 lbs.
