Job summary

Brella is hiring a Lead Teacher for a new Newport Beach center. You will guide the classroom for children 3 months to 6 years, implement Brella's play-based curriculum, and support families with development updates and planning.

You will mentor co-teachers, ensure a positive classroom culture, maintain safety, and align with Title 22 and Brella policies as the center opens later in 2026.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 12+ units in Child Development/ECE; infant role requires 3 infant care units.
• 1–2 years Lead Teacher experience in licensed childcare.
• Must meet CA licensing requirements.
• Knowledge of ECE development and group care practices.
• Familiarity with Reggio Emilia, RIE or Montessori preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom for ages 3 months to 6 years.
• Guide daily flow: routines, transitions, curriculum, documentation, materials.
• Plan and implement play-based curriculum with developmental adjustments.
• Mentor and guide co-teachers; uphold Brella expectations.
• Partner with families; share curriculum updates and observations.
• Collaborate with center leadership for a positive team culture.
• Maintain safety and compliance per Title 22 and Brella policies.
