Job summary

KinderCare is seeking a Lead Teacher in Illinois to guide and mentor young teachers while delivering our curriculum in a safe, engaging classroom. You will partner with families to support children's learning and growth, and help the center achieve enrollment and accreditation goals.

The role requires 2–3 years of Early Childhood Education experience and a CDA or state qualifications; a Bachelor's in ECE is preferred. Illinois Smart Start grants may provide a 15% premium to eligible hourly staff.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service skills and strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to multi-task and handle multiple situations effectively.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Meet state-specific qualifications for the role or willingness to obtain.
• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback.
• Implement KinderCare's curriculum consistent with each child's needs.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Partner and connect with parents to provide the best care and education.
• Support center success; collaborate to achieve enrollment, accreditation and engagement goals.
• Build positive relationships with families, teachers and community partners.
