Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies is hiring a Lead Teacher in Illinois to inspire young learners and work closely with families. You will lead and mentor staff, implement our curriculum, and foster a safe, engaging environment that supports community ties.

Role requires a CDA credential or NAEYC candidacy, 2–3 years ECE experience, and a passion for child development. Illinois offers a 15% Smart Start premium for eligible centers.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service and strong organizational skills.
• Active CDA Credential or eligible for NAEYC candidacy.
• Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
• 2–3 years Early Childhood Education experience (preferred).
• Meet state-specific qualifications for the role.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work indoors/outdoors.
• English reading/writing/speaking to communicate with children and parents.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom and provide feedback.
• Implement KinderCare's curriculum in line with each child's needs.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Partner with parents to support children's development.
• Help center achieve enrollment, accreditation and engagement goals.
• Build positive relationships with families, teachers, licensing authorities and partners.
