Job summary

Children of America (COA) is hiring a Lead Teacher in Winchester, VA to join a team of educators. You will implement daily lesson plans, create a safe, structured environment, and lead classroom instruction using COA's Mind and Body Matters curriculum.

The ideal candidate holds a CDA or Associates in Early Childhood Education, has CPR/First Aid, and at least one year in licensed childcare. You will communicate with parents, document progress, and support children's social and emotional growth.

Qualifications

• Must have a CDA or Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a licensed childcare setting.
• Must meet all state licensing requirements.
• Strong organizational and decision-making skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily lesson plans.
• Create a safe, structured, and positive learning environment.
• Communicate professionally with parents, children, and team members.
• Utilize technology to document and deliver child progress reports.
