Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies is seeking a Lead Teacher in Grand Rapids, MI to lead and mentor staff, implement our curriculum, and create a safe, nurturing learning environment for children. You will partner with families to support their child's education and contribute to enrollment and accreditation goals.

The role requires CDA credential or candidacy, 2–3 years in early childhood education, and a willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
• Active CDA Credential or NAEYC candidacy requirement.
• State trainer approval is preferred.
• 2–3 years Early Childhood Education experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Meet state qualifications or willingness to obtain.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and work indoors or outdoors.
• Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback.
• Implement KinderCare's curriculum in line with each child's unique needs.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Partner and connect with parents to provide the best care and education for their children.
• Support center success; collaborate with staff and leadership on enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners.
