Job summary

La Petite Academy in Centreville, VA is seeking a Lead Teacher to create engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences and mentor fellow teachers in a caring, lively classroom. You will lead on classroom management, implement curriculum in line with licensing guidelines, build genuine relationships with enrolled and prospective families, and support children’s social, physical, and cognitive growth.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
• The ability to meet state requirements for education and our childcare center requirements.
• The ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging, interactive learning experiences while mentoring fellow Teachers.
• Care for preschool children and promote their social, physical, and intellectual growth.
• Lead classroom management and curriculum implementation, and ensure compliance with licensing guidelines and company standards.
