Job summary

La Petite Academy in Indianapolis is seeking a Lead Teacher to create engaging learning experiences and mentor fellow teachers. You will lead classroom management and implement the curriculum while ensuring adherence to licensing guidelines and company standards.

You will promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of preschool children, build strong relationships with families, and contribute to a positive, supportive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
• Meet state requirements for education and our childcare center requirements.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Responsibilities

• Create fun, interactive learning experiences while mentoring fellow teachers.
• Care for the preschool children in your class and promote their social, physical, and intellectual growth.
• Take the lead on classroom management and curriculum implementation, and be an expert on licensing guidelines and company standards.
• Communicate with enrolled and prospective families to support the child’s achievement and the center’s success.
