Job summary

Abright Beginning Childcare JAX is seeking a dedicated childcare assistant to support the classroom team in creating a safe and engaging learning environment for children. You will assist with daily activities, supervision, and communication with families, while helping implement curriculum and maintain state licensing standards.

Ideal candidates demonstrate patience, teamwork, and a willingness to learn. Must be 18+, with a background check completed and ongoing professional development

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; coursework or degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Previous experience with young children in childcare, preschool, or similar setting preferred.
• Basic understanding of classroom procedures and state licensing requirements.
• Must pass background check and complete ongoing professional development.
• Effective communication and collaborative approach with children, families, and team.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment for all children.
• Support daily activities and curriculum implementation alongside the lead teacher.
• Provide active supervision, ensuring safety and compliance with required ratios.
• Support children's development through positive guidance, interaction, and play.
• Assist with classroom routines, organization, and communication with families.
