Job summary

University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign seeks a Head Teacher for the Child Development Laboratory to oversee a Toddlers 2 classroom. You will lead daily activities, coordinate curriculum, and support student interns while working within a collaborative team. The role requires a B.S.

in Child Development or closely related field, with preferred M.S. in a related area. Responsibilities include supervision, assessments, and strong engagement with families and staff.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Child Development, Early Childhood Education or closely related field.
• Experience in preschool and/or day care teaching.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily classroom programming and develop/implement curricula based on developmental needs.
• Communicate progress to the Associate Director and parents through meetings and written updates.
• Plan weekly lesson plans and maintain records of developmental progress.
• Supervise assistant teachers, student staff and volunteers; provide training and feedback.
