Job summary

The Learning Experience - Enfield, CT is hiring a Lead Teacher to lead a classroom and support the learning and development of infants, toddlers, preschool, and/or Pre-K children.

You will implement curriculum, maintain a safe and engaging classroom, communicate with families, and provide guidance to Assistant Teachers. This full-time role offers Monday–Friday scheduling and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Experience in childcare or preschool preferred.
• Ability to lead a classroom and supervise children.
• Strong communication and organization skills.
• Must meet state licensing and background check requirements.

Responsibilities

• Create a classroom where children feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.
• Build positive relationships with children and families.
• Plan age-appropriate learning and play experiences.
• Support children's development across multiple domains.
• Lead the daily operation of your classroom.
• Guide and support Assistant Teachers.
• Communicate with families about their child's day, development, and progress.
• Represent The Learning Experience professionally.
