Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Erie is seeking a Lead Teacher for our childcare program in Erie, PA. You will support curriculum development and supervise a classroom alongside an Assistant Teacher, ensuring a positive, enriching environment for children.

Qualifications include degrees with ECE credits and required hours, plus background checks and annual training. This is a part-time, on-site role with flexible scheduling.

• Clearances: PA state background checks and FBI checks.

Responsibilities

• Curriculum development: plan and execute daily lesson plans.
• Classroom management: maintain organized, compliant classrooms.
• Regulatory compliance: follow federal, state, and local regulations.
• Parent communication: engage families about enrollment and updates.
• Participation: attend family events and program activities.

Education

Associate Degree with 30 ECE credits & 2500 hours

Associate/Bachelor's Degree with 30 ECE credits & 3750 hours

Bachelor's Degree with 30 ECE credits & 1250 hours

Master's Degree with 30 ECE credits
