Job summary

Big Blue Marble Academy in Irmo, SC is seeking an Early Child Care Lead Teacher to deliver a play-based curriculum across infants to preschoolers and to foster a global, exploratory learning experience.

You will build daily relationships with families through electronic reports and uphold enhanced safety guidelines to ensure a clean and safe classroom while supporting children's development.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED required.
• South Carolina Child Care Credential or CDA.
• At least six months of licensed childcare experience.
• Early Childhood coursework, CDA or degree preferred.
• At least six months experience working in child care, daycare or preschool preferred.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds; able to stand for long periods.

As an Early Child Care Lead Teacher, you will:

• Plan and implement activities using our play-based curriculum that takes children on an adventure around the world as they learn developmentally appropriate skills and concepts.
• Develop rapport with families daily. Use electronic daily reports to share milestones captured throughout the day.
• Follow enhanced safety guidelines to keep your classroom clean and safe

Requirements:

• At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED required
• South Carolina Child Care Credential or CDA
• At least six months of licensed childcare experience
• Early Childhood coursework, CDA or degree preferred
• At least six months experience working in child care, daycare or preschool preferred
• Employees are required to stand (six to eight hours daily), stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, etc. while working with children.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds
• Must be able to visually supervise children at all times.
