Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies is hiring a Lead Teacher to guide and mentor teachers, implement the curriculum, and foster a safe, engaging classroom environment. You will collaborate with families to support children's growth and partner with center leadership to achieve goals.

Requirements include an active CDA credential, 2–3 years of ECE experience, and the ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Qualifications

  • Outstanding customer service and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple situations effectively.
  • CDA Credential or NAEYC candidacy requirements.
  • 2–3 years Early Childhood Education experience preferred; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification; willingness to obtain if needed.
  • Read/write/speak English to communicate with children and parents.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and mentor less experienced teachers in the classroom.
  • Implement KinderCare's curriculum aligning with each child's needs.
  • Create a safe, nurturing environment for play and learning.
  • Partner with parents to support children's care and education.
  • Support center success through enrollment, accreditation and engagement.

When you join our team as a Lead Teacher you will:

  • Lead, coach and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback
  • Implement KinderCare's curriculum in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child
  • Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn
  • Partner and connect with parents, with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children
  • Support your center’s success; partner with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement
  • Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and handle multiple situations effectively
  • Possess active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or meet NAEYC candidacy requirements
  • Approved state trainer (preferred)
  • 2-3 years Early Childhood Education Experience (preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
  • Meet state specific qualifications for the role or willingness to obtain
  • CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
  • Use a computer, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors
  • Be able to make physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children
  • Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English

Range of pay $22.95 - $26.10 Hourly
