Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies is seeking a Lead Teacher for Northview Elementary School in Bowie, MD to guide classroom teams, mentor peers, and deliver KinderCare's curriculum with fidelity in a safe, nurturing environment.

You will collaborate with families and center leadership to support enrollment and program quality, drawing on 2-3 years of Early Childhood Education experience, credentials such as CDA or NAEYC candidacy, and a commitment to child development.

Qualifications

  • Outstanding customer service and organizational skills.
  • Active CDA Credential or meet NAEYC candidacy requirements.
  • Approved state trainer preferred.
  • 2-3 years Early Childhood Education experience (preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
  • Meet state qualifications or willingness to obtain.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Willingness to lift up to 40 pounds and work indoors or outdoors.
  • Read, write, understand, and speak English with children and their families.

  • Possess active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or meet NAEYC candidacy requirements
  • Approved state trainer (preferred)
  • 2-3 years Early Childhood Education Experience (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
  • Meet state specific qualifications for the role or willingness to obtain
  • CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
  • Use a computer, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors
  • Be able to make physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children
  • Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English

Range of pay $17.25 - $22.50 Hourly
