Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies is hiring a Lead Teacher to guide the classroom, mentor staff, and implement our curriculum with a focus on each child’s needs. The role involves partnering with families to deliver quality care and education.

You will lead by example, foster safe, engaging environments, and collaborate with center leadership to support enrollment, accreditation, and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service and organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy classroom setting.
• Active CDA Credential or NAEYC candidacy requirements; CPR/First Aid certification encouraged or required.
• State trainer approval preferred.
• 2–3 years Early Childhood Education experience preferred; Bachelor's in ECE preferred.
• Meet state qualifications or willingness to obtain them.
• Read, write, and speak English to communicate with children and parents.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor teachers in the classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback.
• Implement KinderCare curriculum aligned with each child’s needs.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment for play and learning.

When you join our team as a Lead Teacher you will:

• Lead, coach and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback
• Implement KinderCare's curriculum in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn
• Partner and connect with parents, with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children
• Support your center’s success; partner with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners

Required Skills and Experience:

• Outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and handle multiple situations effectively
• Possess active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or meet NAEYC candidacy requirements
• Approved state trainer (preferred)
• 2-3 years Early Childhood Education Experience (preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
• Meet state specific qualifications for the role or willingness to obtain
• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtainUse a computer, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors
• Be able to make physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children
• Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English

Range of pay $17.25 - $22.50 Hourly
