Job summary

Circle of Friends is seeking Preschool and Toddler Teachers for a privately owned child care center in Vallejo, CA. We hire for attitude and provide training to help you excel in a loving, structured environment that supports children’s growth.

Ideal candidates have at least 24 ECE/Child Development units (including 3 infant/toddler units) and CPR certification, with 1 year of center-based experience. English fluency and the ability to pass a background check are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in a child care center.
• Must have 24 ECE/Child Development units including core courses and at least 3 infant/toddler units and two adult supervision units.
• CPR certification.
• Fluency in English and clear verbal/written communication.
• Must pass national criminal background check.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lb.
• Professional, positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Help children with eating, diapering/toileting, cleaning and maintaining a safe, compliant classroom.
• Keep appropriate logs and ensure compliance with Circle of Friends and Community Care License.
• Maintain a clean and safe learning environment and follow routines.
• Provide loving, active engagement and supervision of children.
• Support CPR and safety procedures as needed.

Requirements

The ideal candidate meets the following requirements:

• THE DESIRE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE in the lives of others
• Minimum of 1 year experience working in a child care center.
• Must have a minimum of at least 24 units in ECE/Child Development including core courses and at least (3) units in infant/toddler care and two (2) adult supervision units,
• Experience with Quality Care is a plus!
• A professional, positive attitude
• Classroom duties include but aren't limited to: helping children with eating,
  diapering/toileting, cleaning, keeping a clean and safe room, keeping a Quality Care
  compliant classroom, keeping appropriate logs, and making sure everything is in
  compliance with Circle of Friends as well as with Community Care License.
• Able to stand for long periods, frequently walking, sitting on the floor, and playing
  with children, being able to lift up to a 40 lb. child in an emergency situation. You must
  be able to get up off the floor and stand up quickly. This is a physically ACTIVE role.
• A loving demeanor with children!
• Classroom experience, and CPR certification.
• All candidates must pass the national criminal background check.
• Fluency and clear communication in English. Must be able to communicate with other
  staff and parents clearly in both verbal and written form.
