Job summary

The Goddard School® of Overland Park (Oakmont) is seeking a Lead Teacher to create a safe, loving classroom where children are excited to learn through play and exploration.

You will lead a collaborative team, implement the Wonder of Learning curriculum, and foster strong relationships with families while upholding licensing and safety standards in a Monday–Friday schedule with no evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• CDA, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in a licensed childcare center or preschool preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences using our Wonder of Learning® curriculum.
• Create a warm, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Build meaningful relationships with children and their families.
• Observe and document children's growth and development.
• Guide children's social-emotional development using positive behavior strategies.
• Partner with Assistant Teachers to create a successful classroom team.
• Maintain licensing, health, and safety standards throughout the day.
