Job summary

Beanstalk Academy, a leading full-service child care and early education provider with 10+ locations, is seeking a dedicated Lead Teacher for our Bronx location in New York. You will structure a safe, engaging classroom, plan developmentally appropriate instruction, and work closely with families to keep them informed about their child’s progress.

The role emphasizes teamwork, a nurturing environment, and support for children as they build confidence and essential skills for success.

Qualifications

• BA in ECE (Early Childhood Education) or related field; Study Plan Eligible.
• 1+ years of experience in early childhood education.

Responsibilities

• Structuring a learning environment that promotes child health and safety
• Planning and leading classroom instruction that is developmentally appropriate and meets the needs of children
• Actively engaging with families to ensure parents/caregivers are knowledgeable about the child's program
• Implementing a developmentally appropriate daily schedule, including transitions and age-appropriate opportunities
• Creating a safe, warm, and nurturing environment for students that is conducive to learning
• Supporting implementation of behavior plans and/or IFSP/IEP goals, as appropriate

As a Lead Teacher at Beanstalk Academy, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing childcare experience for our young students. With a focus on teamwork and collaboration, you will work together with our families and staff to give each child the confidence and skills to succeed.
