Job summary

Cornerstone Child Development Center is hiring a classroom assistant to help create a safe, engaging learning space for children. You will assist with daily activities, supervision, and curriculum delivery alongside the lead teacher.

You will support child development through positive guidance and play, help with routines and family communication, and contribute to smooth school operations in a caring, team-based environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; coursework or degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Previous experience with young children in childcare, preschool, or similar setting preferred.
• Basic understanding of classroom procedures and willingness to learn state licensing and compliance requirements.
• Must meet state-specific education, certification (CPR/First Aid where required), licensing, and regulatory requirements, including background check and ongoing development.
• Effective communication and collaborative approach with children, families and team members.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
