Job summary

The YMCA of South Palm Beach County seeks a Lead Teacher to implement the Creative Curriculum, with elements of Reggio Emilia philosophy, ensuring a nurturing and safe preschool environment. You will collaborate with the Director of Child Development, staff, and families to support children's readiness across social-emotional, language, literacy, art, math, science and physical development.

Qualifications include a Bachelor or Associate degree, 40-hour DCF training, Early Literacy, Fire

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associate degree from an accredited college/university or a current FCCPC/ECPC
• Mandatory 40-hour DCF courses, Early Literacy and Fire Extinguisher training
• First Aid/CPR certification
• Ongoing continuing education 24 hours of in-service required annually

• Communicate effectively with children, Director of Child Development, coworkers and parents.
• Efficient planning and organizational skills to facilitate learning through play as well as structured curriculum.
• Follow licensing and program guidelines.
