Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or eight years’ related experience substituting education.

• Knowledge of city, state, and federal tax rules; driving license required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct audits of taxpayer financial records for compliance with the Boulder Revised Code.
• Present audit findings to taxpayers and issue notices of assessment.
• Provide education to taxpayers on deficiencies and required corrective actions.
• Prepare final audit reports and maintain case documentation.
• Perform industry research to identify potential noncompliance and audit candidates.
• Answer phones, emails, and walk-in inquiries related to local tax administration.
