Job summary
Imbibe, a dynamic food and beverage development company in Niles, Illinois, is seeking a Senior Scientist of Taste Modulation to lead formulation and base modulation efforts for sugar reduction, masking, and mouthfeel. You will collaborate with Flavorists, Product Developers, and cross-functional teams, driving innovation and technical excellence.
The role requires 7–10 years in the flavor/food industry, a strong track record in product development, and leadership experience managing complex
Qualifications
- 7–10 years of experience in food/beverage flavor industry with product development background.
- Experience leading new product development on cross-functional teams.
- Proven track record in sugar reduction, masking, and taste modulation projects.
- Ability to translate scientific work into scalable processes from bench to launch.
- Strong leadership and project-management skills.
- Excellent communication with managers, clients, and customers.
Responsibilities
- Lead taste modulation projects and guide technical feasibility of formulations.
- Scoping customer briefs and ensuring technical feasibility throughout projects.
- Direct multi‑project development portfolios with strong technical oversight.
- Lead internal and external teams to deliver on research and development goals.
- Manage resources to meet timelines and budget constraints.
- Develop new ingredients and full product development formulas for clients.
- Collaborate with Flavorists, Product Developers and other stakeholders.
