• Bachelor's Degree with 9+ years in relevant space mission engineering.
• Experience with Ground MDA/SDA, LEOps, and ground-space command/control.
• Product Owner, CAM, or IPTL experience in space mission engineering.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence).

Job Description

Spectral Solutions is looking for a MTC E2V2 Ground Segment Chief Systems Engineer (CSE). The Ground Segment Chief Engineer will be responsible for people management as well as technical leadership. This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable product solutions.

Essential Functions

• Requirements derivation/ownership.
• Responsible for leading an interdisciplinary team, designing, implementing, maintaining, and sustaining space mission engineering.
• Responsible for mission design, analysis, and operations
• Provide technical guidance to SE/Test/SW team at the system level.
• Responsible for decomposing complex requirements into detailed specifications.
• Responsible for Test Procedure/Use Case Verification
• Utilization of command and control tools (TTC, SCN, MPS, MDP).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
• Experience with Ground MDA/SDA LEOps and Ops.
• Experience with command and control systems (ground space)
• Product Owner, CAM, or IPTL experience in space mission engineering
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• DOORs Experience
• Experience with Linux and windows Systems

Preferred Additional Skills

• Software background, preferred
• Experience with systems engineering standards and best practices
• Experience with other MBSE tools and frameworks
• Knowledge of space systems and subsystems, including spacecraft design and operations
• Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum Master, Product Owner)
