The RSE will lead cross-functional teams in developing system-level solutions, applying MBSE, architecture development, and requirements analysis to advance the Missile Defense System. The role involves evaluating threats, maintaining traceability from system requirements to components, conducting trade studies, and presenting findings to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in systems engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Approximately 5-10 years of defense-system engineering experience or equivalent.
• Experience applying SE processes to complex systems or system-of-systems.
• Experience with requirements development, architecture, and traceability.
• Experience performing trade studies and evaluating architectural alternatives.
• Experience with MBSE concepts and modeling environments.
• Strong writing and presentation skills to communicate technical concepts.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate distributed teams.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional Systems Engineering teams in developing system-level technical solutions for MDA.
• Develop and evaluate system-of-systems architectures to support current and future MDS capabilities.
• Apply SE principles to assess architectural alternatives, dependencies, and integration considerations.
• Utilize MBSE tools to model behavior, architecture, requirements, interfaces, and relationships.
• Perform functional and behavioral analyses to evaluate system responses to threats.
• Develop and maintain system-level interfaces and traceability across MDS elements.
