Lead Systems Engineer (United States Census Bureau)

As a Lead Systems Engineer supporting the United States Census Bureau’s (USCB) Geography Division (GEO), you will be joining XTS’s mission‑ready, efficient, and collaborative team supporting the Census Transformation and Application Modernization (CenTAM). In this role, you will be offering your oversight and expertise for the systems’ transition to cloud‑native environments, leading efficient workflows on the GEOTAM team to provide accurate accessible data to end‑users, and maintain and improve current frameworks.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 15 years of relevant experience
  • Relevant experience must demonstrate expertise with cloud environments
    • Includes experience working with Oracle databases and SQL proficiency
• Must also include experience with ArcGIS Enterprise and ESRI Suite and familiarity with spatial analysis
• Must be a US citizen with ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
• Experience providing technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments
  • Establishing goals and plans to meet project objectives
  • Ability to provide expert technical knowledge
• Experience directing and controlling activities for a client
  • Includes interfacing with senior management and leading client negotiations
• Experience with professional financial management, methods, and staffing to ensure that technical requirements are met.
• Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP) Certification
• Relevant cloud certification (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google)
• Agile certification (e.g. Scrum, SAFe)

This position is contingent on contract award.
