Job summary

CEI Engineering Associates, Inc. is looking for a full-time Survey Party Chief to lead our survey crew in the Dallas, TX area. You will coordinate field teams, supervise field surveys, and ensure accuracy and on-time delivery for land, boundary, topo, ALTA, and construction projects.

The role requires 5+ years in field surveying, a Part 107 license, and travel to regional job sites. Proficiency with total stations, data collectors, GPS, and MS Office is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of field surveying experience
• 2+ years supervising a survey crew
• Part 107 License
• Proficiency with robotic total station, data collector, and GPS equipment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel
• Ability to read blueprints, plats, maps, site plans, deeds, legal documents, and field notes
• Willingness to frequently travel to regional job sites
• Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record
• Leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and direct the survey party and projects your team works on
• Lead land, boundary, topographic, ALTA, power line, pipeline, route, and construction survey projects for public and private clients
• Ensure projects are completed in a timely manner and meet high standards of quality
• Provide supervision and mentorship to the crew throughout all stages of the project process
• Use a total station, data collector, and GPS to collect and record survey data
• Review all work and certify that it matches the client's expectations
• Ensure vehicles and equipment are maintained and repaired as needed
• Be a strong leader and asset to the civil engineering team
