Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure customer satisfaction and operational performance by deploying our Quality Management System for supplier quality. The role covers metrics, supplier audits, CAPA, PPAP, and ISO/EQMS governance in Sumter, SC with limited travel and potential telecommuting.

You will own supplier quality performance indicators, lead cross-functional teams, and drive improvements using data analytics and ERP tools.

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering plus three (3) years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or process quality engineering.
Experience leading, supervising, or coordinating quality engineers, technicians, or inspectors.
Owning and using quality data systems and ERP platforms to analyze supplier performance, drive corrective actions, and report quality KPIs to leadership.
Quality tools, including 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa, Pareto, Lean Tools, or Statistics.

Responsibilities

Own supplier quality metrics and drive performance to meet business objectives.
Provide overall leadership for the Supplier Quality Function.
Lead supplier quality audits and implement corrective actions.
Oversee Production Part Approval Processes and First Article inspection.
Identify and implement capital projects and cost-out initiatives driven by supplier quality.
