Panelmatic, Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking a Lead Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure external suppliers deliver components meeting quality, safety, and performance standards.

You will lead supplier selection, audits, containment, and corrective actions while collaborating with engineering and sourcing on new product introductions. You will drive supplier quality metrics, continuous improvement projects, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and customer specifications within a regulated

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in quality engineering, preferably supplier quality.
• Experience conducting supplier audits and root cause investigations.
• Familiarity with quality tools such as FMEA, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficient reading technical drawings and using measurement/testing equipment.
• Experience with ISO-9001 QMS.
• ERP systems experience.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background check.
• Alignment with company core values.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Panelmatic is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Lead Supplier Quality Engineer. The Lead Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is responsible for ensuring that external suppliers deliver components, materials, and assemblies that meet quality, safety, and performance standards. This role focuses on supplier selection and approval, audits, re-evaluation, continuous quality improvement, and root-cause corrective actions.

Job Duties

• Selection, evaluation, approval and ongoing performance evaluation of suppliers.
• Conduct QMS and technical supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality management systems and applicable industry standards.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities for supplier-related nonconformances.
• Review and disposition non-conforming materials received from suppliers.
• Review and approve supplier quality documentation, inspection plans, and manufacturing processes.
