Hole in the Wall Drywall Repair is hiring a Lead Supervisor Drywall Technician to oversee field operations and lead our crew in the Chicago Metro area.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in drywall finishing or painting, strong texture matching skills, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to mentor others. We offer full-time work, competitive pay through $30–$35 per hour, bonuses, PTO, and opportunities for advancement within our growing team.

• 5+ years of professional experience in drywall finishing and/or painting.
• Strong knowledge of drywall materials, tools, and installation methods.
• Proven ability to perform Level 5 finish work - skim coating, surface prep, flawless final surfaces.
• Expert texture matching across multiple texture types.
• Ability to assess repairs and recommend best-practice solutions.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Fluent in reading and writing English.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be legally authorized to operate in Illinois.
• Driving record review and ongoing acceptability per company insurance requirements.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor crew members on job sites
• Perform drywall installation, repair, and finishing
• Ensure quality workmanship and project timelines
• Communicate with customers and office staff
• Manage materials and tools inventory
• Train technicians on proper techniques and safety
• Inspect completed work for quality assurance
• Troubleshoot issues and provide solutions
• Additional tasks as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in drywall finishing and/or painting
• Strong knowledge of drywall materials, tools, and installation methods
• Proven ability to perform Level 5 finish work- skim coating, surface prep, flawless final surfaces
• Expert texture matching skills across multiple texture types
• Ability to assess repairs and recommend best-practice solutions
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
• Fluent in reading and writing English
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be legally authorized to operate a motor vehicle in Illinois
• Must have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets company and commercial auto insurance requirements which can vary by vendor:
  • No DUI/DWI convictions within the past 5 years
  • No reckless driving convictions within the past 3 years
  • No more than 1 moving violation within the past 3 years
  • No more than 1 at-fault accident within the past 5 years
  • No current suspension or revocation of driving privileges
• Must be able to safely operate company-owned commercial vans and transport tools, materials, and equipment
• Employment involving company vehicle operation is contingent upon successful completion of a driving record review and approval under company insurance requirements
• Must maintain an acceptable driving record throughout employment
