Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Lead Substation Engineer - P&C to manage protection and control studies and deliverables for high‑voltage projects.

You will act as a senior technical owner, guiding engineers, designers, and analysts across concurrent substation efforts and ensuring compliance with applicable standards. Responsibilities include leading client discussions, defining protection philosophy, coordinating across disciplines, and supporting proposals and change orders.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BSEE required.
• PE license required.
• 6+ years in substation protection and control.
• Experience leading engineering teams on concurrent projects.
• Strong knowledge of NESC, NEC, IEEE, and NERC PRC requirements.
• Ability to coordinate across disciplines and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead P&C scope across multiple projects with technical ownership.
• Serve as Engineer of Record for protection deliverables.
• Mentor engineers and coordinate across disciplines and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with clients on protection philosophy and study reviews and resolve issues.
• Support proposals and change orders for P&C scope and study definitions.
• Oversee QA/QC for P&C design deliverables.
