Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a senior engineer to apply extensive engineering expertise, lead projects, and act as the primary technical contact on contracts. You will coordinate with cross‑functional teams and external partners to design, test, install, and commission complex systems.

You will develop technical documentation, mentor staff, and drive targeted improvements with minimal direction. Required: ABET‑accredited engineering degree, 5+ years (FE/EIT) or 7+ years without, and optional PE registration.

Qualifications

• Required bachelor’s degree in engineering from ABET-accredited curriculum.
• 5+ years relevant engineering experience with EIT/FE required; 7+ years relevant experience without EIT/FE.
• Preferred PE (Professional Engineer) registration may be required depending on business need.

Responsibilities

• Represent the organization as the prime technical contact on contracts and projects and interact with senior external personnel on significant technical matters.
• Work is performed with minimal direction and substantial latitude to determine technical objectives of assignment.
• May assign tasks to and direct engineers, technicians, craft personnel and administrative staff, including coordination and review of work assignments.
• Provides field engineering oversight and direction for activities such as support, testing, installation, inspections, commissioning, etc.
