Job summary

Accenture is seeking a senior electrical commissioning professional in New York to plan, coordinate, and supervise testing of electrical substations, ensuring compliance with standards, quality, and safety.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, review procedures, and collaborate with contractors and clients to drive successful project execution while maintaining timelines and budgets; occasional on-site work and travel across New York State.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in engineering from ABET-accredited college; 10 years in construction, maintenance and testing of electrical equipment.
• Experience with relay protection and control systems; start-up and commissioning of electrical equipment.
• Electrical field engineering; arc flash safety training; troubleshooting of electrical equipment or systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise commissioning and testing activities for electrical substations, ensuring compliance with standards, quality, and safety regulations.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams during commissioning, providing technical guidance and resolving on-site issues.
• Review, validate, and document test procedures and results to ensure alignment with design specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with contractors, design engineers, operations teams, and clients to support successful project execution.
• Maintain project timelines, budgets, and safety standards throughout all phases of testing and commissioning.
• Flexible: work location includes mix of remote, onsite at client, or Accenture office; some in-person time for collaboration.
