NBCUniversal is seeking a Principal Engineer for the Content Delivery Engineering team, reporting to Global Video Engineering within Global Streaming Technology. Based in New York City or Stamford, CT, the role leads design, reliability and innovation for world-class live sports and entertainment streaming at scale for Peacock, SkyShowtime and Now & Wow.

Responsibilities include steering multi-platform designs, driving discussions across management and vendors, and delivering proof-of-concept

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant field is required.
Demonstrable experience in an engineering leadership role, 3+ years.
8+ years of engineering experience as an individual contributor.
Able to communicate technical topics in spoken and written English to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

Author, sponsor or steer designs for multi-platform technical solutions across content delivery, analytics and related workflows.
Drive complex technical debates with management, architectural, design and operational teams.
Conduct rigorous reviews of existing and planned systems and methods.
Lead request-for-proposal processes and proof-of-concept design and measurement.
Represent NBCUniversal in industry forums and align talent to initiatives.
